1) Review added by Bob W / 12-27-2007
On the morning of December 27, 2007 my family and I walked into the Dive Shop to rent a Pontoon Boat. At that time, no boats were available, but I was told that one could be reserved for 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM for $165 on the condition that I provided my Credit Card number. We gladly agreed to this and went sight seeing for the morning.

During this time, we stopped into the Crystal Dive Shop at the Best Western. They were renting Pontoon boats for $20/hr and they were available. I immediately contacted the Plantation Dive Shop to cancel my reservation with at least two hours notice. They were unfriendly and informed me that I my credit card would be charged a $72 cancelation fee.

Rather, then loose the money, I kept my original reservations. When it came time to take the boat, I informed the staff of the price difference and they simply said their boats are better. In summary, the Plantation Dive Shop boats are better kept, but in no way command the additional $85 they were charging. Anyone who is planning to rent should contact the various shops in advance and find the best price.
